Hi Leigh,
I went last night was only 4 BA XR8's two were running mid 14's one auto did a 13.99@100mph bog stock, that would have to be pretty quick for a stock auto( ex cop car). I ran another 13.8 but my mph was down a bit ? also my clutch is not in good shape.
It was a anoying night other than my clutch/low mph we had one car after first pass plough into the wall (stoped for 40minutes) then another car pulled a 10sec pass and brakes failed, they spent 30minutes pulling him out of the kitty litter then a car layed oil all the way down the right lane so last two passes everyone raced in the left lane oh well theres always a next time.
Oh also the time boards went out for about a hour.

Sounds like a bastard of a night mate.

Sounds like the credit card is need of another thrashing, been hearing nothing but praise for the Mal wood's setup. Any idea who fits them in sydney.

I know exactly how you feel mate, mine doesn't have a precise pick up now. It also feels spongier now that there is heaps more mid range pushing through it he he.... I'd say there is only a few more runs left in it, I'll babysit it until I can afford a 500-600hp unit.

It's atleast running, idle is too high and there is a bit of detonation above 4000rpm. I'm hoping for a new program on Monday with a factory idle and less timing up top. Mid range is awesome! I have to short shift a 4000rpm due to the deto, it's like hitting a brick wall at each gear change, it just wants to take off.

Sounds like a beast mate, Simon doing all the tuning. Just out of intrest how does the tuning work, put it on a dyno and send all the data to him and he develops a tune then you put it back on a dyno to see how it fares.

Can we assume you'll be back at the track soon.

At this stage it's just a generic tune from CAPA with a little trimming. I'll load it into the car, see how it fares. If it's still pinging I'll take straight to Intune for them to clean it up. If there's no pinging I'll get a dyno run to make sure mixtures are fine, add water injection later.
