Hi guys
I would really love to get a short shifter. But I don't won't to have to pay huge shipping and take the risk of the pound. So where can I get a short shifter in Australia? I can't find one locally on the net. Thanks for your help on this one. |

If you had ordered Tuesday last week, you could have gotten it about as cheap as you ever could due to the *** falling out of the Euro. Nowhere in Australia I know of sorry mate, but it's well worth it
My boss offered to cut my original and re weld it. Much cheaper option haha.

I have a WS fez. I would like to avoid the chop and weld option it stll is only a new car. Gee it's hard to get custom parts for the fez at the moment. Maybe it will become easy when they go on sale in Asia and the USA.

B&M make a short shifter for the fez. No, chopping the gear leaver shorter does not reduce the distance travelled, just the throw length. The B&M "shifter" is a small round peice of billett alloy that attaches itself between the gear box and the gear linkage, changing the linkage angle and reducing the shift length by about 40% (based on the scientific principal of "Yep, feels about 40% shorter...").
==>HERE<== I don't remember paying anywhere near this much for it (about 2 years ago), but thats the GFC for you! I checked Rocket industries who import B&M, but they have no listing, so you may just have to bite the bullett.
