I had heard a couple of times that people bought head units (Unknown where they were purchased from) but had to get them programmed to the code of the exisiting one that came with the car from new...Unsure how true that is, Just what I had heard.

Fair enough, but Fadi from ASL is a sponsor here and from my experience reputable, so I'm pretty confident this would be as legit as it gets.
