Smile El xr6 96 to 98

Hi all i was just wondering what differences there is between the 96, 97 and 98 el xr6's? i was planning on buying one for my first car but cant really seem to find out the differences.

Hey mate probably better off posting this in the e-series section lol but one of the main differences is the later 98ish cars some had the au hybrid engine, el bottom end and au head not good bad news. Part from that maybe the later models had a passenger side airbag a series 2 perhaps.

I had a 96 model with the 5 speed manual - aircon was an option and so were 16 inch rims. According to the redbook website, they were standard around mid 97.
