well its quite simple... you sign up to an affiliate who hosts all the content, ringtones and whatever....

Basically, when you sell a tone for $1.50, you get like 60% of sale and they get the rest to cover the other costs for pone service, sms and etc.....

PM me if you want some more info on it Pete, I might be able to set one up for you if interested??

I found a free WAP site, and since I was on Voda, even when I ran out of credit I could still use WAP so it was totally free for me.
I got all the tones I wanted and then tossed the sim card.

I can just upload any mp3 to my phone at set it as my ringtone, that being said I despise polyphonic ring tones and just use a normal ring.

I never buy ringtones, logos or games, they can all be downloaded for nothing and then you send them to your phone via an infra red port.

I purchased an infrared cable off ebay & it came with a cd containing 700 polyphonic ringtones. Paid 20 bucks for the cable inc postage.

as my phone can only use polys and mono's i generally download the favorite Midi file of the net, crop it to "ringtone format", then send it to my phone, all up it costs me nothing.

Yep, you'd be stupid to spend money on things you never use anyway.

Yeah same my phone also is a MP3 player. The stupid software doesnt work though so i cant upload or download anythn on the comp.

Ive got a Transflash memory card which holds 64mb. Its the size of a fingernail and has a SD card adapter so ill just have to buy a card reader.

Ive had the same ringtone for months as it doesnt phase me in the least bit. Id never buy them.

Legally? Not likely. But there's other resources Well, for symbian phones anyway.

Some of those symbian apps cost a fortune. What do you charge?

So how do you go about dealing with copyright etc. or is all your content a part of the public domain??

How's business? Seems like a neat idea, hope it goes well for you.

I actually bought something off your site the other day. Not a ringtone as i dont see the point but i bought a wallpaper. Just thought id throw some support for a fellow forum member

Seriously that is the best site ive purchased from. Worked quick without the usual BS you get.

Im a little curious as to why the URL is called findfreeringtones.net though when you have to pay lol. I would of called it blingupyourmobile.com or pimpmyphone.com lol.

Ok, the site works through an affiliate who owns all the stuff.. And I get a % of each sale.....

Basically, I dont care really, So I just bumped everything to the lowest amount possible, so the affiliate just makes a profit and I break even.

With regards to the name, the site was designed for another site I have, www.cheapest-ringtones.net but I havent moved it all yet....

The freeringtones site is one for the future which will have "free ringtones". But obviously, they are hard to host as you dont own them, unless you make your own. So I was gonna have a site which would "FIND" free ringtones on other sites, but thats still in the works..

Thanks MAITCHAY, really appreciate it and I hope it went well....

Hows Business, well type in "cheapest ringtones" in msn and see how its going... #2

Thanks for all the interest......

BTW, there are 100s of games there you can get for sms$3 and $1.50p/m over the phone.....

Yeah its a good site. Organized well. The wallpaper was of decent quality unlike some. And i actually got it. Something i ordered out of a TV guide once just didnt work. Very good setup indeed.
