So who's cams are they using, Crow?, Crane? Speco thomas? etc

I had a problem with a crane cam years ago and it turned out it was going to be a nightmare to get warranty on it (had to send it back to the states to be inspected), I'm sure G&D would cover any warranty problems associated with what they sell though.

I've got a safe place you can store that old boring plain black G&D airbox while your testing the bling-bling version :

There would be no gain in fiting a VCT cam into a non VCT I6.We have cams for that purpose.

They are G&D cams ground uniquely for us with unique fast acting lobe designs. We put too much effort into cam research to allow other competitors to have access to them.We warrant every part we sell.

Shim Nightmares? You have been talking to useless too much.

They all have shims whether you have a billet or a regrind its just the number of shims that changes.

Oh well yes in extreme cases you do need to watch the rocker angles but a few though shimmed off the posts can fix that easy.

never worry about shims. they are a good test case. if you can't handle shimming up a cam don't try to install one. thats where all the broken guides in I6 come from ham fisted "Mechanics"

DOnt forget the Whoosha weapon is still only running a UNICHIP.
Still trying to talk him into the flash. : (just as well Im bigger than him)

As for the ZORST...Its only a bitsa....Nothing special. Factory mufflers hacked out with a couple red backs bashed in there. It is all getting a bit old now and starting to rust up a bit so I think its time for a nice Cat back... :

It still has to be dynoed, so when it comes in tell him you found a hole in the exhaust and the cats have a rattle, sounds like they are stuffed. Will just have to replace it all.... :

Makes me laff hearing everyone raving about a 14 sec adverage q/m time , around 12 years back i was running just under 11.9 sec q/m's in my XE ..lol, but that was an worked 8 not a 6 , so fair enough there ..lol , but i have to admit the 6 and the mods for it have improved drastically over the years, and its all in good fun . Im definatelly looking foward to supercharging my I6 soon and seeing what i can get out of it beofre it spits its guts ..lol, a different cam setup would be nice to with the supercharger - so let us know how you go with the vct cam mod ;) .

I remember when I first got my XR6.. was paranoid about the fuel that went into it..
to the extent that I would put in 60litres of vortex, 2L of metho (yes metho), and a litre of FA-18 octane booster.. just to make sure the fuel had no water in it, was high octane and yadda yadda yadda.. seemed to work, but I have a feeling alot of it was in my head aswell.. this was yeah and a half ago if not longer..
