I got done for speeding the other day and didn't even notice the cops seemed to have put up a couple of new fixed cameras along the Gold Coast Highway, went back to have a look at it the next day after I go the fine... anyone else seen them? Are they only by the QLD police or in other states too? Nice little christmas present, grrr...

Unless the radar is built into the housing it looks like just an ordinary PTZ. I suspect you were actually booked by another device that you didnt notice and that is a bit of a red herring.

A PTZ is a Pan Tilt Zoom camera.....garden varierty survellance type......speed cameras tend to be elongated and finely focused and aligned with the radar device......but anything is possible.

Isn't there a normal, new roadside mount permanent camera there, complete with sign and road markings?
