Default E cluster?odometre?

hey all,
my odometer is not working, and neither is the trip meter..
i have replaced the cluster with another one and have connected all the wires up properly, however i didnt check if all the wires were ok, as i thought that it would be the cluster?
what could it be that is making this not work? what do i need to fix it and where can i get it from?
thanks

This may sound like a silly question but have you checked the globes?

If your speedo is working fine then it is the cluster that is the problem.. If wiring was a problem then the speedo wouldnt work either.

The problem is that a gear inside odometer breaks.

The gear can be replaced... a bit fiddly to do. I just found a cluster at the wreckers that had a good gear and got that... I think you can buy new ones now though, it's a fairly common problem.

I'd love to know too as I have the exact same problem. I looked for some at a wreckers but they were either not the right one for an eb2 xr6 or they had like 300,000+ kays.
