I'm trying to work out my LTD's fuel consumption.
I did 305 km on the weekend & replaced 75 litres in the tank. Is this normal, or does my car need a serious tune up? As far as I know, the engine is stock, but tired. |

That works out to about 11 or 12 miles per gallon. That's roughly what my '79 LTD 351 gets on a trip. It's pretty stock with a Holley 750vac & a small Heatseeker cam.

A fellow had a BEEEAUTIFUL XY GT down south of Sydney in the 70s and with a twin SU setup he got 24 MILES to the gallon. Very good.
