Default S Pack

Hi all

Just bought a 2000 series II Falcon sedan S Pack apart from the obvious can anyone tell me the differences between S Pack and base falcon. I'm just curious. I was after a dedicated gas falcon but could only find the S pack on gas.

Cheers Rod

What are the obvious differences? That's probably all of them.

I don't know for sure with the AU series , but my old XE was a S-PAK , compared to the base model falcons it consisted of different rims , different interior , sports suspension + sway bars and power steering .. i think that was about it , i can't really remember , prolly pretty much the same for the AU though , U might of got the rear wing and front spoiler too ? .. (no side skirts or real low rear and front spolier ) + maybe a few other extras , prolly the different tach/speedo cluster too , u prolly have a tacho too , which i think standard falcons don't have ( don't quote me on that , im not sure ! ) .

the s-pack comes with pretty much the same mods as the old s-pack it came with sports suspension, rear wing, bigger and different rims, leather wheel i think was an option im not sure, tacho, slightly different interior colours to the base model (not as plain), i dont know whether the engine has any mods. just a few small differences that make a big improvement i think.

They came with:
- Colour-Coded Side Mirrors
- Colour-Coded Side Mouldings
- Side Skirts
- S-Pack Decals
- Rear Spoiler
- Sport Suspension
- "DogTooth" 16" Wheels
- Optional Manual Gearbox
- Sporty Black/Dark Blue Cloth Interior

That's about it. The dash/cluster was the same as a standard Falcon.

The spac's differ in a few area's

Standard the AUII's come with

- Rear wing
- Sports suspension with lower ride height
- 16" XR6 Alloys
- Cruise Control
- Front pwr windows
- Sports seats with blue & black trim
- Chrome exhaust tip
- 6 speaker stereo
- Electric Antenna
- Colour coded grille
- Leather wrapped steering wheel

Options

- 5 Speed
- ABS
- Premium sound
- Sunroof
- Colorcoded mirrors
- ESP option which included Independant suspension, Limited Slip Differential and tickford XR spec suspension. It was worth almost 3K, my S-pac is fitted with it, well worth it.

Otherwise they are the same mechanically as the forte & have the same instruments.

When they dropped the S-Pac for the SR it lost the XR wheels, sports suspension was now an option but no ESP option and gained side skirts.

This link should provide any more info you need, http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.research_specs?vehicle_code=20000405.1 5:27:39&sort_type=&current_rec=14&make_name=FORD&m odel_name=FALCON&year_min=2000&year_max=2000

Thanks to all for your response. AU2 Falcons explained it well with the basic and extra options.

Cheers

No tickford motor, just the e-gas motor option.
