Hey guys!
So I've been having an issue with my beloved AU... She seems to slip (Goes out of gear for a bit) and rev. I don't know what to do and my mechanic has been no help (My brother...) I'll be getting her checked again in a few weeks when I got the doe but was wondering if any of you fellers had an idea of why it is doing this. It happens a lot cold but I'm pretty sure it wares off after driving for a bit. When it slips, I left the revs go down to around 1000 and let it sit there for a sec and she kicks in. Could it be as simple as a service as my mate as suggested? I just want my baby to roar again... Anyway thanks for reading, hopefully my baby can be on the road repping the AUs! |

if it improves when warm the transmission fluid may be low. as it heats it expands and you get extra volume stopping sucking air into the pump

Hope you are right, simples!
I just wonder how the fluid level got down enough to do that, without the owner noticing some trans oil either laying around on the garage floor, or being blown back and dripping off the rear axle or simply dripping from the box. Takes quite a bit of trans oil loss to affect performance. |

If you can't remember the last time your auto has been serviced, its time to get it serviced.
