Default Now an AU XR Owner!

Well guys after lots of thought i have decided to buy my Mums AUII XR8 off her, after a chat with Vic Roads today giving me the all clear about the rumoured New regulations the deal was done.

The Car is an AUII XR8, A4, Leather, Liquid Silver, just over 100,000Km.

Was seriously considering the AUII XR6 VCT but the Windsor is just too damn tempting.

Looking good....Nice choice. Is it e 220 or 200. Not sure if the upgrade came with Series 2 or later in series 2
My I make one little suggestion.
I Dont want to start anything with any one but put some Clear indercators in the gaurds...Recon it would set it off nice.

It's a 220 Kev, and some clear indicatorors will be done in the future, saving to put a Manual in it at the moment.

welcome mate- and well done, not a bad ride at all

Liquid silver looks sensational on the XR's and I reckon the wheels will set it off a treat if you want to stay with an OEM wheel...........

Need more pics though mate, look forward to seeing it's progress and again well done!

they make awesome wheels- a few people were sceptical about putting a Japanese wheel on an Aussie car and be able to pull it off- OI reckon it was made for the car and would awesome on a liquid silver XR-

www.enkei.com

or their australian distributor (who also do advanti)

www.yhi.com.au

as I said though- probably 700 clams a throw

Im taking over the loan mate, i'll re-finace whatever is left on the loan in the next couple of months.

Easier for me and the parents as dad wants a Phoon and Mum wants a 60's mustang as her replacement, but either way it opens up those doors for them.

No- the skyline runs the same offset- mine couldn't have worked out any better.......

fronts took 18x8.5" with 255/35's

rears took 18x9.5" with 275/35's

with being very lowered, no rolled guards, no clearance issues- they're a perfect offset, really

I can tell you how they'd look- bloody sensational, no chop required! lol

always get a chop- usually your gut feeling is spot on and I reckon a tough, lowered XR in silver would be perfect for them.

You've got the fury's so no huge rush mate- save up and get the ones you want.

Wheels are a big thing and they will make the car- IMO it's better to get what you really want, despite the cost; and wheels are such an important element of so much to do with the car.

i e-mailed them a pic last week and they said thanks, you can put pics on there yourself- i'm stuffed if i can see where you do it :

and thanks for the kind words- to be honest (and I know it's my own, but) yeah- it looks loads better than the other ones......

I do want my pic there though- how good do those wheels look ? :

And as I said before the 8.5"s were around $650 and the 9.5" were around $750 each plus tyres- I'd pay alot more than that knwoing how good they are- they are just a very well built, very well finished, top quality wheel.....

Great stuff Jase, it is the same color as my AU2 Pursuit ute i had.
I still miss the nimble handling of the little Windsor, compared to the lump of a Boss.
