Default My 2005 Zetec

Hello guys.
Im new to this forum.Been reading some of posts, good stuff!
March this year,I purchased a 2005 Focus Zetec. It had only 18,000 clicks on the clock.
Iam so happy with the car,the build quality is superb. Its great fun to take it on the twisty roads as the handling of the car is also top notch.Only thing I regret is not taking the manual....the auto is ok but Ive read great things about the jag transmission they have in manual form.
Now...the engine is good too,for small car and small engine.I used to own a 93 model Telstar TX5-the 2.5 V6.The telstar was rated as having a 120kw motor, the focus 108kw.The Telstar was bigger and heavier,it had bit more "zip" is you push throttle right down but I find the focus overtakes great at higher speeds-highway.
Any tips here on Mod'ing these zetec's?I understand I can spend mega mega bucks and turn it into some street racer, thats not my intention.I dont want turbocharging or anything.Any tips on best exhaust system, chips, modified air intakes ect ect-I want a bit more zip without compromising my engine life or interfering with the computer and that kind of stuff.
As for suspension-its already great,so all Im doing is dropping it 1 inch.I got quote for $580 for doing this with King Springs.Im also going to do away with the original tyres next month and get some Michelins.
One other impressive thing about the car is the sound system, the speakers are of good quality.I recently took out the factory unit and put in a Sony CD/MP3 system(kept original speakers).Huge difference.
I drove this car across the Nallabor recently, from perth to sydney and there were no problems.I had passenger and the car fully loaded and acceleration was no problem.Only thing is road noise from the original tyres (NCT's).
Anyway,I hope someone has a few tips
Cheers!

nice one mate. They're a cracking little car. I've got nothing but praise for mine. We cart around two little 'uns, carseats, prams and associated junk and it just eats it up. It's also nice to know that it will corner on rails when you want to get a little enthusiastic (not when the kids are on board!).

As for mods, I got no idea. Mine will remain stock as a rock while under warranty. I'd imagine freeing up the intake breathing and exhaust would help a little.
