Default O2 sensor

Finally got around to taking the o2 sensor out, but not sure if it needs to be replaced...It does look a little dirty/worn.

What do you think?

Well I would change it but it's up to you.Are you getting good milage, not blowing excess fuel out the back or your motor running rough?.

There are mechanics that can test the voltage etc to see if it's ok.

I've got a little bit of a rattle in the tail pipe and some black exhaust residue is building up. My brother reckons he can smell petrol fumes coming from the exhaust too but i don't know if this is normal. The cars done almost 179k and i don't think it's been replaced cus both ends of the connectors are green, unless the previous owner replaced it with an original sensor and not an after market one.

I guess I'm up for a new sensor...

179k on the factory item and by the sounds of it a bad fuel mix. Time to replace it I'd say.

Edit: WOOHOO 3,000 posts, god I'm on here too much.
