Painting Callipers

When painting your brake callipers do you do the pad as well? I did mine on my au and did just the calliper its self. Iv seen a few other people do it and do the pad as well I was wondering which way it surpose to be painted/not painted pad?

Hopefully iv done it the right way, I wonder if there is a disadvantage in painting the pad.

Oh did it a about 2 months ago time to go check how the paint has held (have steel wheels) and yes i need mags.
