Default ea indicators

howzit guys
when i turn my indicators on all the other gauges follow the pattern of them except the tacho
does any body know whats causing this and how to fix it
the car is an 89 EA 'S' CFI 5 spd

a new engine just got put in
the mechanic said that it might be the high low pass thing in teh dash but nothing in the dash has been touched

voltage drop. yeah check the earths and battery connections etc.
