Default What do you give up - to fuel your car?

Yes it's the hottest topic in the local news atm - and in nearly every paper in the country!!

As fuel prices get higher and higher, what are you going without to keep your vehicle going from week to week?

Im not giving up anything yet.
At the moment fuel prices are getting a bit on the high side but I can still comfortably afford it. If it gets to a point where its just too much ill buy a little shi*box for work.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if smoking is one of the first national casualties!!!! : Good. That may have a flow on effect also to alcohol which maybe isn't so good but at least smoking might slowly die for good, the sooner the better.

As for me, I just give up looking at the prices. I'm too arrogant to let some ***** stop me from enjoying my car.

I broke up with my girlfriend - admittedly that was late June.
But as she has no car and lives in Hoppers Crossing, and I have a car and live in Dandenong, I'd say I'd save $30/week not having to drive her home and drive myself home again. She would catch a train to my place in the daytime, I'd take her home at night. It's pretty much 60kms each way. A good decision for me in many ways besides costs of petrol, going out etc.

I figure I'm getting screwed enough by the government......

the only driving i do during the week is to work, and thats 8mins away. so i use the 6cyl EB for that. the EF (5.0) usually comes out on weekends. even then, i have more fun in the EB.....

i reckon it may be more economical with a 5spd in it.....hmmm...

Gave up buying lunch at the local deli one day a week and living on Salada / Jatz. Might have to increase it to 3 days the way things are going....at least I'll lose some weight.

So much for looking forward to driving the LTD again. I'd have to get a small loan to pay for the juice..

I'll keep driving the Suzuki until I can save enough to buy petrol... By then PULP will be $2.00!!

im actually gunna be doing the lpg car thing or getting a scooter
scooters run forever on a dry rag so might be the go i reckon.
