One of these weekends, I will get around to modding the focus stereo. Well not really a mod, just re-routing the AUX IN out of the glovebox as it's a pain.
Has anyone seen a comprehensive guide online on how to remove the stock HU so I can get at the wiring? It's all very shiny and I don't really want to be hacking at it with a crowbar when there is undoubtedly a perfectly civilised and easy way of removing it  |

Its a pain but I wouldn't do anything yet. Why not get some really thin black wired male-to-male plugs and then run the wire along the bordering edges (the dark plastic top and light coloured botom bit) from the glovebox and down to the blank buttons on the centre console? It doesn't look bad at all.
