Default Ford signs Gronholm!!!

Ford have signed Marcus Gronholm for the next two years!

The fastest driver (and yes I believe he's still quicker than both Loeb and Solberg - it's the Pug that has let him down) in what should be the best car in the WRC.....Finally, the Blue oval with a real shot at the title!

Bring it on Subaru ing_sm

Good Stuff!

All thay need to do is get Colin McRea back in the WRC with Ford.
Then they will be truly unbeatable.
I think this year ford have had the weekest lineup in years.

Ah cool. Good signing! Go Marcus!!!

Although, I disagree, I think Loeb really is in a class above. But hard to tell if it's the car or him I guess, but he's sooooo smooth

I have to agree with that comment. It has been said in many places that Loeb is smooth and precise, and if you find him in armfulls of opposite lock, then he's in trouble.

For any of youz that have watched rally Japan, the in car footage of Loeb he was doing it tough, constantly correcting himself, and the times and places showed, until the unfortunate events of both subarus, where he ended picking up second.

Regardless, the signup of Gronholm with Ford should be good. Hes a very aggressive driver and will make great use of the Foci's available torque going in and out of corners. Its amazing with the virtual spectator, showing all the cars starting off at the same time, the Foci easily gets a few car lengths ahead, then come the first couple of corners, and the other cars fly by. It should be good to see how much a driver's skill will affect how the Foci goes next season.

Ford's current WRC campaign has been badly let down by drivers in my opinion.

Good to get a top line driver in the team, hopefully with all his experience he can help Ford develop the LS Focus World Rally Car.

No doubt that Loeb is the total package and the best all round driver in the WRC. However for straight out pace when the push is really on (and his car isn't letting him down), Gronnie is still the quickest.
