I have a 2003 Fairmont Ghia with premium sound which will only accept one cd and not six. The one disc it accepts works fine but I want to know if this is a common problem and if this is repairable. A ford dealer has told me I won't get much change out of $1000 for a whole new unit including screen but I dont need a new screen, that works fine. Can somebody please give me some advice?
Cheers, Brad. |

How much and how tricky is it to change my standard BA XR6 ICC (With Premium sounds and Sat Nav) to the Dual Zone unit fitted to the luxury cars?
I can buy the unit for 700 but if the dual zone and other features won't work, I won't bother. |

the dual climate ICC will not simply work, more parts needed eg sensors etc... cheers fadi75

I'm looking at doing this conversion on my BA XR8, exactly what is needed to get this to work? I know you need the following: LH Mirror with sensor and loom Heater box modification including HIM module. Not sure what else is needed, but will the ICC still work but be limited to what will work, like the duel air con, tempretures etc? Also, would I need to take the unit to a ford dealer for reprogramming or can I simply transfer my BEM module and Remote Module from my old ICC to the new one? Or, would I be better just going for the 6 stack CD with TFT and single AIR? |

fadi75, I have a bf xr6 with sat nav and premium sound already, just wondering since the fords dash software and the sat nav use such basic colours will the dvd kit work ok still?
Also reading on your site "The image display is disabled when the handbrake is engaged" is this the dvd image display or the cars dash display? |

adding a dvd kit will not effect your sat nav. The dvd player will have full colors just like watching a normal tv. the dvd player plays on the factory color screen, and handbrake will only disable the dvd player whilst driving, at the end of the day it is totally up to you how you want the set up. cheers fadi75

just a few more questions :P with the bluetooth kit installed, does the dvd player still fit in your normal mounting spot? If not, are the cords you supply long enough so I could hide the dvd player under the passenger seat and mount it there? |

sorry to bug you with all the questions :alien2:
Are the mounts supplied with the kit? (for under the seat) Also, if the dvd player is mounted under the seat, whats the remote pickup like? For example if the remote is not being pointed directly at the player will it still pick it up easy? I know lots of players out there that need the remotes pointed at them wich would be a big pain if its under the seat :( |

I am interested in package deal with upgrade from prestige sound that already has in dash stacker but small screen;
To a full colour screen, with your TV tuner, and a good hands free solution that interfaces with the stereo properly. Installed price.

Im keen on having the tft screen but have no need for the 6-stacker as i plan on using my ipod. Is there a ipod connection available besides the aux plug? Id also like to power 2 amps (a four channel for speakers & 2 channel for sub). Ive heard there is a way of 'hard wiring' rca cables to the factory deck. Is this possible? Or is it better getting a unit such as the AudioControl LC6i? What would be the cost? Your help is much appreciated. Cheers. |

upgrade to color screen only $1100.00 as a changeover using new Genuine Ford parts. the aux is the only way to run ipod, we have the boosted ones $130.00 or non boosted $30.00. We can modify the back of the ICC cd module to have rca's where it allows you to add and run extra speakers amps subs etc... $220.00 th LC6i is just converters, might get engine noise static etc... unlike the RCA mode we do where no engine noise guaranteed. cheers fadi75

How much would i be looking at to go from the Premium BA Fairmont Ghia to add Sat Nav to it? Or is that a big change?
Also, just something you might be able to help me with, my reversing sensors don't seem to be beeping. Is there a way you turn them on and off? |

been a fairmont ghia you already have the color screen. a nav system will be $1195.00 on the factory color screen with an external speaker or $1495.00 all intergraded with the factory screen and speakers. regarding the reverse sensors they are definitly faulty, unless you had a changeover at some stage and the wrong ICC been fitted. check with your local dealer. cheers fadi75

In regards to the rear sensor, turns out the connector under the towbar wasn't closed properly, therefore it thought it had a trailer connected. All working now |

I have just got my hands on a premium icc unit and would like to do the following. Modigy the back of the ICC cd module to have rca's where it allows you to add and run extra speakers amps subs etc... $220.00 How do i go about making this happen? Can i bring the unit to your shop and you perform the job while i wait or do you need it for a couple days? Let me know the best way / options of going about it. Cheers |
