Default wsid last night. only 1 boss!!

went to wsid last night and although it was a quiet night, i was surprised with the fact that there was only 1 gt and no xr8's. the ls1 brigade were out in force and we had no lion tamers there! it must have been the first ive been there and not seen at least a handful.
any reason why all your cars were all locked up last night?

couldn't give a rats about the drags, tell me more about your avatar!!!!

just kidding, I was disapointed last time i went to Calder down here, only saw 3 or 4 Fords, only 1 being a BOSS, the rest old or turbro, on the other hand, there was only about 500 million Holdens/chevs racing

Guy's are just not racing there GT's and the XR8 has very poor sales, the Red team have an engine that is cheap to mod, plenty of new and 2nd hand parts readily available and these LS1 cars have now fallen into a price bracket you will only see more of them as the younger folk can afford them..

And that will always be the case, the LS1 scene is huge in drag racing compared to the BOSS scene.

Normally there is 10 commys to every Boss. I haven't been out for awhile due to C'Vs on my tailshaft being R**ted. Ford wanted $2200 for a new tailshaft. $600 just for a centre bearing! ( what a joke) Anyway its fixed now. :togo:

Time to hit the track in the next week or two. :hihi:

Still fun though, more of them to stir up...

They don't look happy when a young guy in a Ford of all things starts running with them.

i've been there a few times and noticed this also . but i guess it's no use me whiunging , cause i'm part of the problem . if you look in the car park though thats where most of the BOSSES AND HSV'S ARE . with trailers on the back , it's funny when you see an f6 , with a trailer on the back , and a cortina with a nitro 351 cleveland on the trailer , but thats the reality of the matter .

Jeees...it was cold at WSID last night, spent nearly the whole meeting on the startline freezing my *** off, we ended up canning it when the track went from 45degF in the middle of the day to just 4degF at 6.00pm.
After several near misses, a couple of people smacking the walls and the odd oildown, we put it off to rerun on the 22nd July.

G'day Mark. The coupe has not been out since the little auto issue lats year. But I am just waiting for the 90/10's to be fitted this week and then its back to the track. Its been awhile.
I had caltrac's fitted and changed the diff ratio from 3.7's to 4.11's. I also put a decent ignition into it aswell. Now I just have to get it out and go hard to crack it into the 9's before I put the Nos in.
I will be taking the ute for a run at WSID in the next week or two.

Not like the AFF Drag meets where out of the 70 or so cars running about 50 of them are XR8s or GTs. :yeees: Well maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but there's usually heaps.
