Default Want to buy or borrow locking nut key 8063

Hi guys,

The professionals at JAX have stuffed my locking nut key (they are the only tyre place I've used in 8ish years) thanks to using their flipping rattle guns.

I either want to get another key or borrow one with the same code so I can replace them with another nut.

Thanks

Are you serious?
The professionals at JAX need to rectify the problem, not you.

Do you have at-least one lock nut off the car by any chance?

These professionals haven't seen the car for 6 months or so, and the last time I spoke to them was when I had a slow leak in my drivers front tyre... they went on about how my slow leak was caused by poor fitment of the last set of tyres and that I should really get a quality establishment like them to fit the next ones... to which I replied, "your store fitted them". They charged me half price for the repair.

I highly doubt this mob would consider that they could possibly have caused the locking key to fracture. Not these guys, they are too professional.

If the above is true...........
Why they are they the only tyre place you've used in 8ish years?

M&M's suggestion is a viable option.

Jax has been the company I've used in 8 years... The Ipswich branch was the place used most recently by my little bro because I was living overseas at the time and he was looking after it. Prior to Ipswich, I had been only using the Jax in Newcastle which are a LOT better.

M&M might be what I end up doing, but I'm exploring the chances of getting the key first.

Contact Nice Products at https://niceproducts.com.au/contact-us/ They supply various locking nuts and the associated keys (see https://niceproducts.com.au/nice-catalogue-18v3.pdf around page 286) and if you have the brand and code likely will be able to help you and give you the details of the nearest Nice Products retailer. You can also use the Irwin bolt grips etc to remove them; these: https://www.irwin.com.au/tools/impac...rip-extractors or the similar Supercheap Toolpro ones i.e. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...ce/342010.html

Post a pic of your wheel lock key with a ruler between the internal raise sections and I will see how close it is to mine.

Ah dangnamit. I had set up the post and left it for some reason a few days ago. Obviously didn't click 'post', and promptly forgot about it.

I'll do another one on my PC (I don't know how to get the links to photos from Flickr on my mobile device).

It looks like the key has vertical crack. Is it intact enough so it would it be possible to hold it on the wheel nuts with a jubilee hose clamps to undo them? Or perhaps weld it back together?

My 8052 is the mirror image of yours. Smash them off with a 22mm socket and replace with factory nuts. Are you wheels staggered ?

I've not had any luck elsewhere either, so that might be exactly what I need to do.

I've got factory twists on the Phoon, so not staggered.
