BF2 XR6T front pads (maybe rotors)

Hi,

I own a 2007 BFII.5 XR6T ex cop car - as such it is factory fitted with the larger front slotted rotors and maybe calipers (I'm not sure if this is the "premium brake upgrade" or the cops got something different).

Firstly I'm after a set of replacement front pads.

Secondly by my measurement the front rotors are 360mm and may also need replacing but can't seem to find the minimum thickness anywhere?

I am not aware of them having a rotor that size but the brembo brake kits do have a 355mm front rotor and these would cost you $600 a pair for slotted or $700 a pair for xdrilled.Pads for the brembo 4 piston calipers start from $185 to $470.00.If you are unsure the caliper will be red with brembo written on it as the other kits i can think of are the factory 322mm kit and the BA GT Performance upgrade of 325mm.

I will re-measure the rotors (I am just measuring the diameter across the rotor?)

The calipers are not Brembo's they are just steel/silver and have PBR stamped on them - I'll see if I can read a part number on them somewhere.

My guess is 322m but let me know

Floored I don't know if this helps but I can see its a PBR caliper and it has "K247-259C" stamped on top of it. The bottom of the caliper/pad measures 132mm (see crappy paint drawing I did below).

I also measured the rotors again - its really hard to get an accurate measurement as the tape goes over the hub and adds length - I tried it from behind the rotor and the best I can say is somewhere between 320-325mm.

I also measured the thickness. It looks as if factory new thickness is 28.0mm, my verniers show mine are down to 26.4mm.

Caliper actually has a 7 on it as well so its "K247-259 C7"

It will be the 322mm rotor and the pads are the same size as a std caliper in these.Brake pads for std street use are from $65 and the DBA4000 series slotted rotor like what you have on there are $231 each

Thats great, thanks for the info - I will come over and grab some pads off you ASAP.

With the rotors I have done some research and am interested in the RDA slotted/dimpled rotors or the DBA street slotted/xdrilled.

The RDA slotted and grooved are $390 a pair and DBA do not list street series rotors for your application (only 4000 series) as they class the brakes as an upgrade but in saying that the rotors are the same as a territory and the xdrilled rotors are $432 a pair.

I am also interested in some rotors for my XR6T (322mm) - what is the better buy out of the two you mentioned above given there is only a $42 difference? (I like the cross drilled look as well - what does dimpled rotor mean?)

Dimpled means the holes do not go right through but just the tip of the drill head.The DBA 4000 series XS rotor is a better quality rotor than the other two and are $530 a pair but to answer your question it is really just personal preference.
