Hi guys,
It's Been a while.... i was like .....where the f#%k has 'e series general gone?' .....oh.....ok....so where the f%^k is Eseries technical ffs......oh...hmm. Anyway to the point... I have an 4.0L EF with a Dev 5 kit. -It has done over 300,000kms -It has a complete reco head -i changed the head gasket It has an oil leak and i can't find where it's coming from and i havnt had the time to steam clean it yet to find the leak. The lifters are getting noisy because of the loss of oil pressure. I also have a power steering pump leak and as you know that's not repairable and the whole unit has to be replaced, wreckers, $70. There is a little bit of play in the diff. A few other minor problems. What should i do? -Keep the car and fix the -burn it and claim on insurance, then urinate on it (just joking of course) -Sell it, buy a better car (EL) and convert it to gas and get goverment rebate. -Sell the car and get a loan, buy a 2003 BA, convert it to gas and get the government rebate -other options.....?? Please no turbo talk or s/c lol. Thanking you. |

Fix the power steering pump. Try sell it privatly for a month and if then no luck get the bank loan and trade it in on a BA.

fix the p/s pump issue. try clean the engine, silicon up the leak if possible add some oil stop leak, then sell it if you are not attached to it.
Get the BA they are cheap these days and a hell of a step up.

If My EF had an oil leak and was getting tired I would think about a BA!
Although only thing stopping me from buying a BA is that spare parts would cost more if something went wrong.

It dont think it will take much for the BA to eat the DEV5 though.
