Default What price my RS 2000

The time has come for me to part ways with my 4dr RS2000.

The car is registered and has been my daily for the past few months. It drives fine, has recently had the rear drums reshoed and brake cyclinders replaced, as well as the rear suspension. It has the standard bit of rust under the heater bubble as well as one (small) spot on the hood, boot (small again) and traces on the wheel arches. None of these have progressed to a serious level and would be very easy to repair.

It does have a dull tapping noise before oil pressure builds up which could be a bearing or something foreign floating about. Its a 4 speed manual and has a slightly lumpy cam (i have never obtained exact figures but about 75/35). It does leak some oil from the rear seal but not a lot.

Im really trying to get some idea of what such a car might be worth. I will post photos shortly but dont want to sell myself short or waste everybody elses time with unreasonable expectations. Its a great car and I really would like to see it go to someone who thought as much of it as me.

Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers

Sean

Its a hard one, because the coupes are pulling $7k+ at the moment.

From what you describe, anywhere from $2k-4k....maybe.

I'd agree - start asking somewhere around $4k and be prepared to negotiate.

Post up some pic's, and that will give a better idea. I would also ask over at:

There are often a few buyers lurking about these sites and they will pay decent money for the right car/project. There are also a few for sale which you can compare against. Good luck with the sale.

I'm looking for an RS2000 project. Is this still for sale?
