the upper mount points on the parcel shelf should be strong enough so no need for engineering, but I found that it was incredibly difficult to mount the retractor there at the top because the shelf sits lower than the top of the rear seat. You will need some kind of dogleg bracket to lift the retractor up a bit.

I didn't even consider fitting the retractor at floor level but that might be a possibility.

I gave up and refitted static lap/sash belts in the 73
