Default Speaker Questions (focus specific)

I'll keep this focus specific to avoid a run in with the mods.

Has anyone here swapped out speakers in a LR 3 door hatch??

If so, i want to know what size speakers are in there without having to pull my interior apart.

I want to get a little more grunt without cutting holes or anything. And no Steve, I'm not going to get an 18" sub with a fluro tube around it to go with my interior lights.:

speaking of subs, does anyone have any pictures or diagrams of the ST170 audiophile sub box??.
I'm getting ideas on making my own. I have to have the seats down and the boot space completely clear in order to get my drums in the car and i liked the idea of a little 10" tucked up in the corner of the boot (i'm aware the audiophile was an 8" btw :P)

hmm, food for thought.
I don't mind modifying the inside of the door, i just dont want to cut the door trim, i want it to look stock.

Thanks dude.

Didn't cut the door trim. Stock speaker covers still fit on mine! Just what is underneath people don't know

How is the depth behind the speaker... In the BA falcon I had to space the speakers out from the door because the were deeper than the stock drivers due to a much larger magnet. Those were 5x7 too but have the tiniest magnets.

My magnets hit the window only when the window is fully down. So I don't close the door when the window is down. Thats the only worry I have

I hear you. But there will come a time in your life when you are sick of telling people what they can and can't do when they get in your car... ;-)

I don't tell. Because whenever someone gets inside the car. Their window is up. So I don't have that trouble

thin bit of foam glued to the back of the magnet could help, i'll keep that in mind.
a real thin spacer under the speaker could help too, there's gotta be some room to play with.

Sorry... thinking out loud.
