I live in the bush so there's no local business who suffered and I bought them from a business in West Burleigh, Qld.

Same thing happened to me just last fortnight. Bought some army surplus trousers. The site made it clear to get the size right first time, so I made sure of my size, etc and then they sent me the wrong size anyway

I thought the HID globe in the outlander blew today (no drivers side light working) so i rang Mitsubishi and they said $360 for the globe. I rang around here in Canberra and found the original HID globes for $130 from a wholesaler (got two of them). Put the new one in the drivers side after stuffing around trying to get original out for 30 minutes and it didn't work. So i pulled the new one out and then when i went to put the old one in i accidently pulled too hard on wire that holds the globe in and it came out. I cant for the life of me get the piece of wire back in due to being in such a confined space.

So it's off to the auto elecs tomorrow so they can fix my screw up and then try and trouble shoot the actual issue. I hate when i try and fix things i stuff it up sometimes and then it costs me more money in the end!

story of my life......however the many things we do right that save us tens of thousands of dollars more than makes up for the occasional stuff up.

don't fret the small stuff and the big stuff will look after itself.

touched my distance reset button today.....the one in the odometer that resets the shorter travel distance.....snapped off of course so now that doesn't work, same as the left button on the clock, broke that the other day by touching it.

...Being bombarded by those annoying YOUI adverts boasting about "lots" of $$$ they save people and how considering they are of individual situations. So I gave them a call about an ordinary stock Toyota only to be quoted more than twice what 8 other companies quoted me! I told the "advisor" this is the case and they insisted this is it.

Sent an email to a Governemt Department 2 weeks ago and finally got a response.

My questions were generic in nature, and I stated the person I was asking about.

"Due to privacy we can't answer your question as you are not noted on the documentation" (that I supplied).

Thanks 9867786875

Yep - not even a name, some sort of employee reference number.

My reply was interesting. Lets see if that takes another 2 weeks.

We collect all our refundable bottle/cans to recycle and store them in a wheelie bin which is kept in the backyard. Overnight some creep must have jumped the fence and stolen the bin because there were bottles and cans strewn all down our street. Maybe 300 or so... the bin was just on it's side on the road in front of my house. I only know they jumped the fence because they dented the crap out of it doing so and there are muddy boot marks scraped all over it from whoever climbed it scrambling up there.

What I want to know is who could even be bothered doing that? It was bloody freezing last night. The worst part is it must have been someone we know because as far as I can tell they have gained nothing from it. They also left my gate open so it's lucky I noticed before letting the dog out.

I almost wish my dog had been outside last night because he doesn't take kindly to strangers but who knows what would have happened if he was. Quite annoyed at this.

My day starts fine, then idiots happen!

A trip to coles is all it took.
Heavy basket in hand, gets to one of the only 2 checkouts operating, foregoing those self serve things, & of course the person in front is doing a weeks worth...

So I wait patiently, all good. I'm happy

Then the helpful service desk lass offers me to pick up my "heavy as" basket & proceed to the very last checkout as there is no one waiting there.
To which I said I just walked past it & it was busy, now I'm here ok.

Then she calls for another checkout to be opened & asks me to move there instead , to which I said "NO", I am already here, I am already waiting, I do not want to needlessly pick up this heavy basket & I wouldn't have to wait if management bothered to employ more staff & open more checkouts.

She explains that she has no staff until 9am, I said "my point exactly"!!!

At this point I just want this conversation to be OVER, go way & leave me the hell alone.
Ask me how my bloody day has been....go on I DARE YA'!!!!

What is it with some people. Turning on their blinker for a split blink doesn't magically create enough safe space for them to change lanes. Sheesh. As I'm left to slam my brakes on the wet highway in the rain and I almost got rear-ended. Thanks to the stoopid driver in front of me.

When people say their car is immaculate and nothing wrong with it, only to arrive and the car is not immaculate and has a few issues.

Maybe i'm asking to much and my idea of immaculate is different but man i'm over looking at potential cars.

The term "Time Wasters" can apply equally to sellers as well as buyers

It's driving me nuts, i've been looking for 3 months now and they are either flogged or uncared for, i don't understand why people don't look after premium performance cars.

Oh boy, I really know what you're talking about there fordomatic. I have been looking for a good base car for an upcoming turbo project and have now come to the conclusion that every single person who is selling a used car in Australia has impaired vision. If I can tell from a poor 240p picture that the car's bodywork is damaged, that clearly means it is not "near mint" after all. Some of the ads I've stumbled across just make me laugh, laugh, laugh and CRY!

The worst is when you rock up and the "99% rust free car" has completely rusted out sills, floors, wheel arches and around the front/rear windscreen but the seller still reckons it's a good 'un. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

btw, I put my foot through a customer's ceiling at work yesterday. That went down well.

I hate it when I go into town and see one of the local shearers who is also a good mate.
Hadn't seen him for a couple of months and he was very skinny.
I jokingly said "are you on a health kick?"

The reply "na mate I've got stomach cancer that has spread to liver, bowels etc, etc."

I'm in a bit of shock.

I made this same "error" a few weeks back.

Bumped into an old workmate.
He asks how I am so I whinge about **** for 5 minutes and then asked how he'd been getting on.
Bowel liver and stomach cancer.
All of a sudden I see all the obvious signs.

Pet hate of the day,

the lazy a$$ staff at bakeries that can't be bothered to take the 1/2 a second to place cream filled cakes and buns in the bag in such a way as to not mash the cream, (in this case a Kitchener bun), and/or jam to the inside of the bag. How fricken hard is it to turn the bun around before you put it in the bag instead of jamming in in open side first so the jam and cream goes all over the inside of the bag.

Well this is the world we live in here in Australia, but if you're ok with incompetent and lazy retail workers who don't engage their brain, and don't mind second rate service when you hand over your hard earned money, then I know good shearer you might like to meet.
