Oh, plus $30 for number plate fees....
That stamp duty looks low, but as far as i can determine it's just 2.5% of the market value.

Less about 22% it would work out to be $1600.

I've recently done a deal on an xr6 turbo (auto) with no options under the friends of ford promo for $37,682 not including on roads.

Hard part was actually finding a car!

standard xr6 not turbo... ego.. tech pack thats about it... as from my understanding with the voucher is approx 30k plus extras.... so how does that equal 39k when only have the tech pack and paint.. i was thinkin more like 33 max 35.. maybe i was wrong.

Ok so under the pricing a stock XR6 is about 29.4k. tech pack is about 1100 so tech pack would be about 860.

29.4k + 860 + 2k = about 32.5k

Seems a fair way off.

i saw ads for xr6's going for 35K drive away not long ago, so i'd suggest you're being taken for a ride.

$35888 on the Ford website, drive away. That's just their run of the mill special.

Obviously you've been handed over to the goose salesman.

100% sure he didnt quote me on the turbo.. i saw the screen just an FG XR6 SEDAN 6 SP Man.... nothin about a turbo... funny thing was that he said someone was interested in it in the morning and and he was askin 44k from him.. maybe thats why as they will loose to much money?!?!? even when i said i can get an XR8 for 42k he said nothin. so i dunno whats going on he called the manager prior to givin me the quote and thats where the 39k came from. They playin funny buggas id say.. disappointed with the dealership i must say. As i was told would be about 33k drive away with the voucher.. 6k difference it somewhat strange to me...
Oh forgot to mention just as I was about to leave he said hows 38k.. which is still above the norm.. :@

bindaz I'd suspect that if you're after a manual non-turbo , then he'd have to build a new one through Ford and thus place an order for a July or most probably August build. There wouldn't be many/any manual XR6 sedans in Dealer stock, especially not now after the almost full 2 months of this firends program. If that's the case he'd be quoting the cheapest he can on a non-eligible vehicle.

If that's the case, friends pricing does not apply and $39k drive away sounds right on the money, considering an XR6 costs about $40,990 plus on roads from memory. It used ot be $39,990 but there was a price rise about 3 months ago. That would mean it's normally around $43-44k drive away. $39k D.A would be a $4-5 discount which to me is pretty sharp.

Remember the Ford friends cars are only for vehicles in stock up to and including June build, not for new cars placed into build for future months.

If you're keen on the cheaper price, or even the $35,888 D/A price theyv'e been advertising, it's on pre-June build vehicles. I suspect the only way to find an XR6 eligible is in automatic.
