Love your thinking on that.
Apparently now they are revisiting the cost after the outcry. Supposedly it can be done for half that, still about 10 grand too much.

Probably been asked many times before so without going through the thread to look for an explanation I'll pose it again...

Why Is it that when you post a Gumtree ad everyone wants you to contact them via email?

Is it a scam, whats the catch?
Is it to see how desperate you are in that if you'll comply with their method of contact you must be desperate to sell.

I even had one say 'I cant message through Gumtree', I was like, but you just messaged to tell me that..lol

As soon as you say no emails, they drop off.

Have a couple of things on Gumtree at this time.Got 5 messages on a car.4 scammers and 1 legit.Scammers were all offshore oil or gas workers who wanted to pay me and get their courier to pick up the car.

Why is it that Scomo was so heavily criticised for being away from home when the bushfires were happening, yet Albaneezy-jet is receiving praise and applause while being absent during yet another bout of catastrophic flooding and storms?

Was thinking the same, how many days has he actually been on Australian soil since being elected.

Why is it that two very large tool retailers with massive floor space do not stock much in the way of screwdrivers?

All I wanted was a ratchetting screwdriver, a good one, not the cheap house brand. For once I was looking to buy something in an actual store, looks like its back to online for me. And bricks and mortar retailers wonder why people don't shop locally in stores anymore.

I can vouch for the Snap-On ratcheting drivers, mine has survived serious abuse of torque capabilities.

I have been underwhelmed by the range of the Bunnings tool shop lately. Visited a Sydney tools and mind blown at the serious range and pricing, Bunnings are taking the urine when deciding on prices.

I was actually looking for these in both Sydney Tools and Total Tools, both having recently opened very large stores side-by-side. While the amount and variety is good, I guess that variety doesn't extend to screwdrivers.

I'm looking at tools right now, the prices are way off the mark compared to a small locally owned tool shop. Guess who's getting my money?

That’s utter madness, I’d buy secondhand if another were needed.

I have rarely been a Labor person so have no leaning of supporting him but, where are his security team, I am guessing that's an old pic that's been resurrected to try and get a reaction.

congratulations it did. but surely the poor buggas plan their breaks before they know of an event. For either party there is a whole team working in background.
Personally if I was stuffed by flood the last person I'd have around would be a pollie fanning around for publicity. Actually happened years ago big fire down this way, and it was recommended that no publicity seekers show their face or all hell might break out.

Looks nice, only problem in buying sets is getting so many spanners and sockets etc that never get used and others than get worn out.Since I was very young on the tools I always bought empty toolboxes then bought the required tools rather than sets. With metric and imperial there are so many overlapping sizes

I did look at doing it that way too, however the discount that I got sweetened the deal.

…Is there a ratcheting screwdriver in that lot? Also you might want to add a few more six-point sockets, looks like it stops at 12mm. 13-19mm in six point are pretty handy.
