It mightn't have been proper drifting, but it was a lot more fun than anything you can do on the roads

I was waiting for this, all the tough guys coming out and saying 'it's not real drifiting' or 'your cars aren't good enough to drift on the road so you gotta do it on the dirt' blah blah blah. More to the point, who gives a ****? Nobody is trying to make a point, its about pure fun, which if you ask anyone who was there on the day, will say they had an absolute ball of a time. Not only that, but you don't waste your tyres as much. I love drifting around in the sand, more fun than fooling around on the road!

It's the closest you can get without wrecking ya driveline or tyres (excluding rear bumpers ha ha)

True Alex. It's a lot safer too. Less things to hit (besides tree stumps, but that happened while driving normally, rather than drifting)

John - I never said you did, but a lot of other people did.

Dezza - I really doubt that, plus I don't end up with sand in my preverbial Vagina.

Alex - that is one wicked fire! And I was being sarcastic, obviously you guys were having a heap of fun on the sand and good on you. You are right about one thing though, none of your cars are good enough to drift, they are Falcons remember and LTD's. :P

LTDHO -wrecking tyres and drivelines is what drifting is all about. :P

Haha sorry for the slight side track off topic guys, I know you all had a ball!

You got something against LTDs????? Both mine and Wayne's LTDs have ample power to drift, just not right now lol... His wouldn't start and mine needs some work, I'm missing about 30rwkw at the moment!

Glenmaggie is the poor man's drift circuit ;)

I won't be organising another one until around may-june, so you've gotta wait a little while
