Not to get off track guys..... but I noticed in another club thread that they had a Skid Pan day up near Gympie somewhere. It looked awesome. Should we look at doing something like that after July 28th?

Who would be interested? I'm in !!

It was fun, and you guys would have an absolute ball. It is really good if you also use it to learn more about the handling of your car.
Speak to one of your members (Chris) f6 typhoon, he has done it twice when I have organised it and I think he had a better understanding of his car after the first time out there, and that phoon just looked hot as on the pan too

as far as I know the normal bonnet will close over a BOSS motor but there isn't enough space between the bonnet and motor to absorb any impact. Thats why the bulge is there, so it meets ADR's

Won't close over sorry mate. History behind the bulge was it was a design oversight at first.

The deck height of the heads, along with the upper and lower plenum dwell angles and deck height meant that a normal bonnet wouldn't go over the motor. Normal 6 bonnet won't shut, it will foul the plenum.

I am starting to look very doubtful for this day, if I do attend which I hope so I may not have my new gear in but in any case will be a fun day, if the car is off the road at tis stage may have to pull out somehow i dont think the stigma will handle the course. see what happens.

Hey all will be coming now for sure have had to make the hard decision of having to put off the install so the bonnet wont be lifted on the XT as it looks like crap no covers no bling and standard gear back in.

Not far off now.
