You should try and get flights to Avalon Airport then it will be a 5 mins drive pretty much next door.

There is a stop coming from either Brisbane or the Gold Coast, getting me there well after lunch. D'oh!

It's all good, 5am flight down, 8pm flight back, no sweat!

Yep, meant to land at 820 (if it is on time), and need to get the car too. I'm pushing the proverbial uphill!

Just got a call from Ford to confirm everything:

- They'll need your DOB and Address for security reasons (airport)
- There will be marshals to direct you to parking
- You should wear black but you should be ok with dark jeans (and we will be given overalls to all look the same)
- Filming starts at 1030am
- Cameras are welcome

She also confirmed the other stuff, such as catering and sun protection, but that is covered off on the invite.

Should be a great day, looking forward to it guys!

What about sun hats? Obviously it will be outdoors.

One thing I need to ask when I get the call.

When she said sun protection, I assumed sunscreen and hats too, possibly sunnies. I'll be bringing a backpack with everything I need for the day, so it'll be fine.

It's costing me $550 to go by myself, with no accommodation.

Is that fanatic enough for you Ford?

"Put your passion to the test". Don't think that's about sprinting on the keyboard to the webpage. I believe the word stunt was mentioned somewhere (Think in the T&C's on the website). Airport. Landing strip. Speed. Slalom? Whole bunch of dudes hanging out in black overalls. Interesting equation. Black human witches hats? Maybe not 300. (What happened to the other 50?) Check your will!!!

I was hoping to drive down but my clutch situation won't be rectified in time.

Was looking at catching the XPT for $179 each way or flying in on thursday & flying out friday night & just staying as close to avalon as I can.

How cool would it be if there was a raffle to win an XR8 amongst the 300 there?

Or they could always give us a car each for our time and effort ;)

Does the XPT go all the way to Bris?

Anyway, I'd fly down. It'll probably cost you the same amount and you wont waste 2 days on a Train.
