Shows how stupid conspiracy people are since they use no logic.
MH370 used a 2002 build aircraft. MH17 used a 1997 build aircraft. If you look at photos of the MH17 crash site, there are numerous Boeing parts with 1996/1997 stamp dates which is consistent with the aircraft used. It's impossible to duplicate an aircraft anyway. These same idiots also claim that GovCo will be carefully putting pieces in the Indian Ocean for them to be "found". It's funny how they pick their incidents too.

Agreed mate, it's fun to read some of the weird theories, but you can't take them seriously.
Of course, that doesn't make us "sheep" if we use our own logic

I still think the pilot purposely put it down out in the Indian Ocean. The deleted files in his simulator would suggest it. As for the wreckage it would take forever to find and whose to say anything on the surface hasnt blown down to Antartica or somewhere. The area is so remote.

Its a possibility that there isnt any debris, or very minimal. Skilled Pilot with the right training and in ideal conditions can land the said plane and at worst, lose an engine or 2 (been done before).
If the superstructure isnt ruptured on impact, the fuselage will eventually fill up with water and sink. Only debris field you will have will be from fluids, or if the plane breaks up at depth. Highly unlikely though, because you cant compress water so no implosion. Ever seen those under-water wrecks from WW2, in the Pacific? Pilot gets lost, or runs out of fuel, ditches the plane and it sinks. Half a century later we see it intact with just some bent propellers. |

I think it will be found, but it will have to be a stroke of luck.
There are inhabited small islands closer to the new search zone than Perth is & Antartica also has people there, but it's likely to be in the search area or slightly further south. Would not be fun to be out there though, so I wish the search team all the best!

Theory implies knowledge, I would call that a wild guess to feed the conspiracy nuts.

Theory / wild guess - at this point in time they may as well be the same thing in the case of MH370. What are the facts at this point in time? That the plane is missing and that it flew on for several hours in a variety of possible directions. Bout it.

Start with the 2 Iranian passengers with stolen Malaysian passports, reason enough to raise an eyebrow. Then add the luggage which was booked in to travel by passengers who didn't board, that sound suss. Now consider the planes communications system was shut down one at a time just after it leaves Malaysian traffic control and before it enters Vietnamese control, just a coincidence perhaps. Maybe, but consider why they started looking in an area that the plane could never have reached with its fuel load and then the coincidence of changing the search area the day after I did some rough guestimates an concluded that it couldn't possibly be where they said it was at first and posted my findings on here. Not that im an aviation expert or anything, but FFS, if you lose a plane the first thing you work out is how far it could have gone with its available fuel load. Chances are if it crashed it will be somewhere within that radius... The whole thing has been a shambles regardless of where it is. |

Yes, the communications were 'shut down' but how do we actually know that was the case as fact? Does shutting down the communications send a 'shut down' signal I wonder? Much like most of this mystery, I assume the fact that it was shut down is a guess - after all, we don't have the plane nor any recounts from passengers. Yes, they lost contact (across so many systems that monitor the flight) but the fact is we still don't know for certain what happened. Shambles - you bet ya, and I believe when the truth does finally emerge what we currently know will be the tip of the iceberg.

Main thing that blows most of the conspiracy theories out of the water are the pings revealed by a private company, not exactly affiliated by a government body and originally set-up as "not for profit".

The talk around "the water cooler" at Boeing factory in Port Melbourne is that the search area was determined by how long (7odd hrs) that the engines were still reporting back to Boeing headquarters in US after it went off radar.

Eexcept that those pings are so precise they couldn't even tell if it was in northern hemisphere of the Southern Hemisphere. It's a whole lot of guesswork at the moment it seems.

Yeah, I agree that no-one has an exact answer, but I can't see any government wasting millions on a search that would be wrong this late down the track. The same governments who are very tight with money for people generally.

My old man was part of a search team to scout out Airfields in the Pilbara/Kimberlys. Some of which are ex Aus and US Military from WW2, and big enough to land a Boeing 777 on.
Obviously nothing came through with it and was a waste of time, but it goes to show how much they have no idea where this plane is. |
