Just straight off the bat, I am posting in this thread purely because I have received several PMs from members complaining about other members.

Hey everyone, it is the internet, not real life, so let's all take a deep breath.

A couple of you may have already read this analogy but I am going to post it up once more.

Think of AFF as a real life pub - a pub that caters for Ford people. They sit around tables etc with like minded people and talk shit about Fords and how great they are. Everyone at the tables deep down know that while they are great cars, they are probably not as great as they talk them up to be.

There is nothing really wrong with that, they are talking amongst like minded people each reinforcing everyone's else's thoughts. They do this in the 'AFF Pub' as they know that they can't get away with the embellishments that they spin anywhere else in the world.

Now...

Someone comes into that pub and walks up to one of those tables, and starts 'questioning' the logic of the embellishments that everyone at the table is spinning.

What do you think their reaction would be???

For those of you that have been to any sort of old fashioned pub will know the answer - you will be told where to go (essentially told to '**** off').

Then what happens when that one person continues trying to apply logic? It gets even more heated.

Then the bouncers have to step in.

... and this where I now have to step in.


Everyone, there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, even if it has logic that goes against Ford (AFF bouncers are more forward thinking ). What I will say though is, if you are going to question logic please consider your audience and use a little tact.

Also, I say it again, BENT has not been the only person who has posted up some 'logic', yet once again he seems to be copping the brunt of the 'replies'. Play the ball, not the person.

Despite what some of you may think of moderators, particular AFF moderators, we do want to see people logging on and having a good time. In fact, most of you on here would have at some stage made me think twice about something and see it from another perspective.

What we don't want to see is people getting all wound up over other people's opinions.

The old BHP site is still much of a barren wasteland, ideal for a future EVSupercar race track.

Well fact is, you are overlooking the lower basin around Carrington which are either roll on roll off freight or cargo ships.

Not that it has anything to do with Vfacts
