It does in the north basin of Kooragang but handles containers, roll on roll off, including newly built train rolling stock (from guess where) and general cargo such as bulk wine from the southern Carrington docks.

I KNOW IT'S LONG BUT PLEASE READ. IT IS JUST SOME ADVICE.
Just straight off the bat, I am posting in this thread purely because I have received several PMs from members complaining about other members. Hey everyone, it is the internet, not real life, so let's all take a deep breath. A couple of you may have already read this analogy but I am going to post it up once more. Quote:
... and this where I now have to step in. Everyone, there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, even if it has logic that goes against Ford (AFF bouncers are more forward thinking ![]() Also, I say it again, BENT has not been the only person who has posted up some 'logic', yet once again he seems to be copping the brunt of the 'replies'. Play the ball, not the person. Despite what some of you may think of moderators, particular AFF moderators, we do want to see people logging on and having a good time. In fact, most of you on here would have at some stage made me think twice about something and see it from another perspective. What we don't want to see is people getting all wound up over other people's opinions. |

That is an example of where non-specific statistics overwhelm facts. In this case 'cargo' is coal and grain. Take that away, and Newcastle would have not much more than protest canoes paddling around in the harbour. The Newcastle Port was severely hamstrung by the NSW Liberal Govt when it was privatised, with penalties put in place should container movement exceed a certain level, to the detriment of Port Botany and Port Kembla. The old BHP site is still much of a barren wasteland, ideal for a future EVSupercar race track. |

Perhaps forum mods should delete all discussion posts on this thread that do not specifically relate to Jan'25 Vfacts. |
