I don't see the problem with nice bigger wheels. 95% of those cars don't have standard suspension components anyway... Better than every car having centerlines/simmons or 17" torq thrusts... LOL.

agree on the centrelines, never liked them
i just think that the big wheels dont look right proportionally to the car
but each to their own

some sweet sweet rides in those pics tho, regardless of the rims

Agree 100%. Ruins an otherwise well restored car.

The other thing I don't understand is putting 5 spoke dragway type wheels on Fords. It's a bit like putting 12 slotters on a Holden. Just not right to me...
