much better but they're still cramming too much in. more time for the challenges would be good.

They are slowly stepping up.... I know i wasn't expecting nor am i expecting the first 4-5 episodes to be just as good as TG/UK as these guys probably still have to find their feet...

The star in a standard car and the X6 segment took a little too long and well Julia Zemiro... come on. Its like they realised its 1 hour before screening, 'oh hell we dont have a star lined up, lets just grab someone from the SBS lunchroom who's on the payroll'.

Otherwise I sort of enjoyed it and yes what was Holden thinking when they came up with Starfire, ive driven a Starfire Corona and boy was it crap.

agree with you the 3.5ths of FA bit got me laughing the hardest.

plus.... GO THE BEADED SEAT COVER !

i think the show is improving with each episode. there is still some room for gurther improvement, but last night was streets ahead of episode one. i like it that they are honest about the cars they drive. if they dont like a car, they tell you.

It was definitely an improvement on the earlier episodes. The wee guy and Warren were both critical of their respective drives – the CLK 63 and X6. I don't remember any criticism of the R8 and F6 in the previous episode. I wonder if criticism is going to be reserved for imported cars only.

The use of all caps on the "What were they thinking?" board offends me, typographically, every week. What were their designers thinking?

Go to finalgear.com

You'll also need to install "utorrent". Google for it.

I loved the taxi driver remarks about fuel costs when racing the EB.

Default Not bad

Well I got a couple of loughs out of it and thought it was great to watch some one hooning some Aussie muscle around on the tele. Speaking about which I thought the match up was poor. Why not two thumping V8's rather than the 8 vs the turbo 6. Not exactly a match made in the heven of cars when it comes to of the mark performance. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!!

I only have one thing to say to that comment ...

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?!"

There's being critical, and then there's being rediculous.

Isn't the "Cool Wall" sign writing on UKTG is in caps...?

Good to see that most of the feedback is positive though, I enjoyed the show myself.
I'm looking forward to seeing the W427 test, next episode.

Falcon front under the Commode.
Turbo lag v instant power in the 8.

There were a few, but I suppose maybe that was a result of trying to make them seem even in the long run.

I apologise, profusely, for having an opinion! My point is caps/lower case wording is generally speaking, considerably more legible.

"rediculous"? "ridiculous" perhaps? Sorry!

There seems to be a couple of incarnations of the UKTP Cool Wall – one with the words in caps, lost under the logo and another with the word Cool, large and in caps.

You are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to have an opinion of your opinion, and don't be so apologetic.

BTW thanks for the spellcheck, that really helped me get through my day.

That's the thing. They're getting stick for not panning the Black and the X6 and on the wrap up, they may not have gone as far as saying so. If you watched the review though, they were very critical of both cars which has to be a first in TV car show journalism.

I'm sure Mercedes wouldn't have appreciated the comments of the Black being too stiff for a tourer and too heavy for a track car and not worth $100k over the standard CLK and BMW being told that the X6 is the ugly answer to the question no-one ever asked.

If you watch both reviews and not necessarily the wash up when they go back to the studio, they were very uninspired by both vehicles. It would have been so much easier for them to do what other shows have done in the past and that's wax lyrical about how brilliant they are.

It's one of the few shows I'll start to watch as soon as it's finished downloading. Looking forward to next weeks show.

I am told by people who happen to be on location while the first episode was being filmed that a certain veteran racing driver was seen tagging along with the TGA crew the whole time, and was wearing a white racing suit.

His name? None other than John Bowe.

But Top gear sometimes do that, and perhaps they really are undicided, and i can understand that. Your post is redundant.

They don't really know their australian cars either. Pizzati called his EB Falcon an S-Pack with Red Stripes and a different interior. Interesting, as the car had none of this in the flesh, nor does it have a Tacho, and its compliance plate says EBII GLi.

Expect more "They are just copying Top Gear" in the coming weeks. All I can say is
