Pete, come down and have a go when we open, they're pretty easy to handle. I might have "tinkered" with one to make it go slightly faster than the rest, but thats all I'll say. And im not tell you which one. The minimum age to have a go is 11 yrs and 135cms in height.

Roj, seatbelts are a must - these do actually accelerate unlike the fartbarge which just drags along the ground.

I actually got into this job through the All Ford Day, so all the stress was worth it, or so it seems! :

I'm only just home from work now, putting in LONG hours to get the place ready, so it's not too far away : .

At this stage we're opening the doors on the 27th, which is a Public Holiday. If that changes I'll let everybody know, but it's pretty well decided that we will open then.

Oh - the engines in the karts are around 6.5HP, and are good for about 75-80kms if you know how to drive them ;).

When you said you wanted to get into something faster than the focus, I imagined it to be a little bigger.

Congrats on the new job. Looks like a heap of fun. Wagga AFD Challenge, I can smell it now.

Opening the doors on the 27th. It wont be finished but it will be 95% operational and all racing etc will run just like it would when it's all finished.

Prices:-

$18.50 for 15 laps which includes:

* Helmet Hire
* Suit Hire
* Safety Briefing
* Track Marshals on Standby for duration of race
* Individual Lap Timing with printout of your lap times
* The glory of coming close (but not actually) beating me :

Aust, your PM account is full so couldn't send you a PM.

We're only coming on the easter Sunday (I think) for a day.
As I said, there'll be around 20-25 cars of us, X 2 per car at least.
Will get back to you early next year after i run it through the gang...
Cheers.
Mick.

Hey cheers for all the well wishes guys, I was a little worried about the price at first but I too think it's more than fair given what you get for it.

Today I get to have a race against a few radio personalities here, which will be fun Im sure.

Anybody who is thinking about coming to the opening - there will be 2. We're opening the doors on the 27th of Dec, then a more "official" opening will be on February 4th 2006. Be great to see some FF'ers there for it .
Likewise, anyone who wants to come and have a go or is bringing a group, send me a PM and we'll sort something out.

I might have to go for a wander down there on the 27th. I think I'll be home on that Tues.

Do I get a discount if I bring my own Go-Kart (with doors) It's got about the same power as yours

Its in Nagle Street Matt and you do need a licence, but its one that we issue - not a road going one.

We may have to delay the opening by 1 day due to computer setup porblems, so it might be wednesday instead of tuesday. I'll let you know.

AARRGGHH!! dont say that. I have to got back to work Wed and I've promised to shout my Spray painter 15 laps... just to show the people who wear their caps backwards how it's done!

I knew there was a catch, how much is 'your' licence?

Having just had a drive at Rev-Arena I can safely say thats it's $18 well spent.

Gangs of fun even if traction in corners is lacking.But this should improve as more rubber is left on the track.

Just watch out for the guy with the red beard waving the chequered flag, he aims for drivers helmets!

Current track record is 26.45 seconds, was set late last night by the same guy who set a 26.79 record earlier yesterday. exceptional driving.

Licence is $5 and is good for 1 yr provided you dont lose it.

Did a 27.28 today, finally. Still way off the pace though.

This friday will be 13 laps for $13.
