eh, I spend just as much time on my VK calais as I did with my current lexus, Ive always enjoyed driving a nice car, and keeping it immaculate, my only gripe is when people spend 100K on a car and treat it like crap, couldnt belive how many beema's and merc's id trade where they havent seen a single wash in the 2 years of ownership.

i have a 77 escort, fading paint, chips and scratches, few rust spots, dinged up front 1/4, low as hell, i dont wash it weekly or fortnightly, its not a show car or a nice looking car, but its MY car, and i love it, who cares what anyone thinks.

theres no shame in taking some pride in your own car, no matter what it is.

Then someone with a Dodge Ram SRT-10 will drive past and think, "What a crappy car, only 6 cylinders and 6L" Why settle for that when you could have 10 cylinders and 8.3L?

Who cares what car you drive, my mum's hairdresser has a Hyundai Getz and she loves it and washes it all the time and I have a 2009 WS Fiesta which I spent 5 hours washing and detailing, so it looked like a mirror.

Mate I have a GT and I spend just as much time washing my wifes Mazda 3 ,and the 94 Hilux .
I having nothing for respect for people who really do look after their cars,no matter what cars they are. I love seeing older cars looking like they just rolled out of the showroom, just fantastic.I wish I was as dedicated..
As far as your friend goes , he is a ************.
I cannot believe a friend would say that !!!

Surely this is a gee up!!!! : :

A maloo is not exactly the ducks guts but probably goes well with the winnie blues, mullet and flanno.

In the end a car is a car and they all deserve to be washed as well as the next one, do the job right the first time. Etc etc Nothing worse than seeing a halfass washed car, or worse not washed at all.

Your mate has some serious issues if he thinks a GT is THAT MUCH better than an XR

It's called "schadenfreude" - deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of others. "Misfortune" in this case being "unable to afford a flash car". It's all too common, unfortunately, and we who drive small cars cop the brunt of it.

I just think it's great to see someone who actually cares about something these days. You're a great example of an attitude that is being lost as the decades pass by. Possessions are so easy to come by that people stop taking pride in things like cars... there should be more people like you, but there's not. The world is just increasingly selfish, apathetic and spoilt.

How big's his loan?
Sadly that concept is shared amongst so many people tho...
People are all to happy to slam their doors or rest their trolley into others cars in the shopping car parks.

People as a whole are generally dissapointing!

Generation ME is taking over all the generations!
