On one of the Police forums if you make one spelling or grammar mistake, your thread disappears and you face a possible membership ban. No kidding.

Wish there was some more policing of the spelling on these forums though, some of it is just atrocious.

By the way, if you were so concerned about your car being washed, why didn't you just wash the car yourself before lending it out? Then he wouldn't have been keen on washing it if it was already clean.

Just tell your mate you appreciate the gesture, but you prefer to wash the car yourself and don't use the car wash places.

I don't lend anyone my car in fear of what would happen to the paint work, if you lend your car to someone your then running the gauntlet of stuff happening. Having it washed and polished by a valet should be the least of your worries, maybe it was there for a bit of paint repair?

Getting it handwashed shows real respect. If he were to run it through one of the old style car washes where the rotating brushes scratch the living hell out of clear and break off the aerial you forgot to lower and then bend the windscreen wiper because you automatically put them on as soon as you saw water on the screen, then yes, you should be peeved.

sorry mate but I just don't get this had the car been polished and the guys that washed it not complete idiots then the worst they can do is destroy your sacrificial layer of polish, trust me on this one its very hard to damage paint under polish. Can't see them doing it too much effort.

Those SMS morons shouldn't have the right to converse, period.
