Its a 300+ but not the 300+. The 300+ showcar was red, it was either repainted or a second burgandy coupe was built.

The company that built also built a green 4 door with the supercharged 4.6

Well I guess the Ford/Howard Marsden XA Phase 4 would qualify as a prototype. There were only the Moffit/Gibson cars and three others being made up to HO specs, before it got killed off.

I'd say Yes Ford Aus should have more show specials. The EL Predator was an amazing looking car that absolutely blew me away. R5 was pretty cool too, its a shame they didn't bring that to market, it could have been a winner (better execution than dopey Crewman). They need to show off the FG's potential with some upper luxury concept to fill the void left by the late LWB cars. Something with panoramic roof, decent leather and Shock!Horror! Passenger electric seat!
Also with better front fascia than G series.
Holden will be developing the Statesman/Caprice further upmarket so why not.
We need a new image leader for the Falcon range, preferably a 2 door but not gonna happen :(

As Nikked said it was Millard Design and Advanced engine components that built the red 300+ show car....but worth noting they didnt build any other coupes

perhaps you were also thinking of a few of the coupes that Hillier built

There are pics floating around. The car had 8 trumpets through the bonnet, colour was a mix between ego and bluey - gray. Was featured on the cover of Motor magazine (although it was in the top corner, while a Holden had the main image).

After seeing the last few Coupes in the FG photochop tread, why the hell cant ford just do a coupe concept!

Other idea, FPV/Ford could of had a killer concept to have on display when the VE was at the shows.

-Red GT
-v8 kit and gaurds (cost silch to get for them)
-Recaro seats
-GT 500 motor

it would have cost very little to create, yet would have created fuss, Motor would of had a cover (or at least front page) with the headline "Ford re-invents GTHO", it may not have go on sale but would have created chatter and helped steer people from the VE release.

^^^ VERY nice. Ford should've made the Fiesta RS into production. It'll contend well with the RenaultSport Clio.

Looks like FPV copied the grille patterns from the Fiesta RS concept.
