Default Re: A more mature/subtle performance car?

I'm in the same boat. I'm 44 and not as into hill racing as I used to be (besides, that was what the bike was for), but not I want to trade the Golf on something with a similar power level. 140-150kw. Nothing crazy, but enough for when I need it. Comfortable for daily and long trip driving, but something that still holds the road when I do hit some corners.

I like the Focus styling at present, and think the S would suit me with some minor mods if there were any to increase the 125kw.

Throw a turbo on the S? ;)

i am 45 and reckon the ST is sensational. comfortable doesn't even begin to describe the seats, driving position and the car. it can be tootled along a 60 or give it a tickle and it is gone. as for cornering and braking....it is on another world.

Buy an S and you will soon wish you went with an ST. Buy an 'unpainted' one like mine and blend in.
The S isnt even in the same league.
