Finally get off my **** and fit the worked 18RG motor that's sitting on the floor in my shed into the Celica in place of the pitiful 21RC that's in it now...new stainless exhaust to hook up to the extractors for it that hang on the wall, coil-overs, new nolathane bushes throughout.

Although I could just actually pay to get the WB 253 ute we're doing up professionally painted, instead of doing it in my garage with Killrust...

Sorry but $6000 would be nothing but a nice solid down payment on a good AE86...much less one with a silver top in it...

I looked high and low for one a few years back when I gave myself a budget of $7000 to buy a car (ended up with the Celica for $5000)...I came across a grand total of three for sale then...two were over the $11,000 to $13,000 range, only one of them was a "pop up headlight" model like in the Initial D comic strip. One was for an amazing $4500, the standard Australian model with the single OHC motor in it, but it did have a five speed and air con, but no roadworthy. I rang about it and the guy said "Mate, it sold fifteen minutes after I posted the ad online..."

I might try hunting down one of those old Mazda 323 AWD sports models from the early nineties...there'd have to be some of them left floating around somewhere...

I'd spend the 6k on a few upgrades to the house. At least that way I have some sort of chance of getting a return on investment!

Does your boss pay you before you do the work or after? You should look at your money the same way, make it work for you first then spend the amount it appreciates by.

Put towards an investment property. All these people buyiung jet skis or motorbikes... just shake my head.

For crying out loud, have a bit of fun. It's a hypothetical, perhaps this is the $6k you made on your investment.

Hookers & Blow!...

That should put you out of pocket 6k in a few hours...

Personally, for me it would either be going in the house deposit account, or the supercharged V8 ute account (Yes I actually have bank accounts for both). LOL.

AUII Fairmont Ghia. Coincidentally, we're getting $6k back on tax this year and need a second car. Gotta put aside about $1500 for some pool fencing though, sadly.
