Didn't BMW recently do an add similar, where the filimg camera was on a jetcar?

I noticed on telle the other night the Holden has a new ad for the Caprice...

Ford do need something catchy though.... maybe even a be prepared for 2008 to keep our eyes on the lookout....:alien2:

I can see why people would like to see Ford do better ads, but personally I will only take notice if has some statements in it like:

"We fired a third of our dealers"
"The BA Falcon on launch was crap, with far too many engineering and quality control faults and we promise to do better with the BFII and every model we make thereafter. No more early adopter/beta testers for Ford"
"The Ford customer service team actually are our employees now and arent just there to just dodge litigation and warranty issues"
"FPV is a premium brand and we thought it might be a good idea to offer premium service with the price"
"We promise to stock common parts that come in for warranty claim, for quick delivery to our dealers and will not ever say that its the first we have heard of this fault ever again"
"we agree that not all Falcons do that"

Porblem is Ford try to be too clever and make them annoying.

There are some exceptions, the feista ad where they use the ghost theme was ok and so was the one where they had the kid use a falcon on a toy track. Lately though the ads have been a little dry.

Your the second person to point out that BMW won Engine of the Year. But the Subaru stab at it was that it won it it's class (2-2.5lt I think) but the car costs way less than a BMW. Well thats my interpretation of it anyways.

Not sure if holden ads are better ?, better or not they do run all of the time, same with toyota, see / hear something often enough and people start to believe it.

I am sure that the Datsun 120Y had a very convincing advertising run too. And the many people that believed all those claims must have been very happy with their decision.

Anybody who believes a commercial, and buys the corresponding car due to its statements is a fool.

The ONLY way to buy a car is to first look at your needs, research several cars, look at your price range and from there start exploring.

Ford ads aren't the best to me because of 1 ad i thought was a disgrace. The one where the mum just gave birth to a baby and the nurse is about to hand her the baby when they look she has bolted out the door more interested in buying a car so she abandons her new born.

I like the BMW evolution advertisement. It shows the development of BMW's saloons over the years.

Ford should stop the toungue-in-cheek , Mr. Smartypants commercials and stick with something more conventional yet effective.

They may be slightly amusing at first, but it wears off very quickly.

They also should choose better music.

I thought the Ford Ute ad with all the hot models following the ute because it had 'real pulling power' was a pretty good ad.

I think all of Fords ute ads have been good over the last few years. Even the original BA XR8 ad with the cops following and then that awesome V8 note. The other Ford ads are lacking though. I cant even think of what the current Ford ones are.

I thought the VE ad was a fairly bland effort compared to their previous ads.

I thought 'Amazing' by Alex Lloyd is a pretty good one for the Territory.

or wolfmother there a great aussie band.

I find the song awful.
Slow, boring and a low-quality chorus in which the word "amazing" is used 3 times.

But sucking when it comes to music, I have no idea what could replace it.

Although I will admit, the song is effective because its easy tune suits the tranquil change of scenery. So in which case, Ford chose the right song for its purpose.

But I still don't like it

Holden's choices are still better re: commercials.

You'd be popular too...

Yeah, those commercials were stupid...

Who the hell would like a car dealer because he sells somebody else a car?

It's tongue in cheek I know, but yeah, still poo.

Holden Commercials are of excellent construction & quality, unfortunately they dont fit too many passengers in them.

I don't like Alfas. The lights on a car are all important. I think the Alfa's are terrible.
