Thanks mate. Like many I suppose I never really intended it to go this far, but when the bug bites

Originally I wanted it to be the first car into the 9's - didnt make that, then I wanted it to be the first car into the 8's - didnt make that, now I would love to have the quickest one in the country - even if it is only for a little while......From our progress to date atleast we have a real shot at achieving that.

Plans are for me to steer it, I have now got my licence to drive it and I just have to get my safety gear. While we are pushing for a quick number I will let Dom steer it, as I know it will take me a little bit to get up to pace. I am considering winding it back a bit in general to try and get some longevity out of it and just enjoy the actual racing component, so we will see how we go. If this weekend turns out the way I would like it to, then Dom and I can have a good look at where to next.

I am heaps lucky to be with TRP and Dom has looked after me well, so a big thank-you to him and the TRP team for all the effort they have put into the car prep to date.

Cool! Im not sure how keen they are to work on falcons regularly as their core expertise is WRX's and VL's/Skylines, but I am sure glad they work on mine!

UPDATE

An awesome day at the track today - it just doesn't get too much better.

After a shaky start with a boost issue on the first two passes due to a dodgy connection on the boost controller.....

The car reeled off an 8.57@164mph

Then went quicker again with a best pass of the day of

8.48@165mph.

A huge thanks to Dom for everything and Rob for steering it today. The car looks to be consistent and strong, so its up to me to get behind the wheel now and see what I can do. After 4 years of hard work and perserverance we have brought the record home to Sydney.

WOOHOO!!

Timeslips and video to come - vids should be on youtube tomorrow. Best of all, the car is home in the garage in one piece. Time for a beer!

Here's the 8.811 run I found.
Launch was much cleaner than the 9.1 run ... and lifted the fronts off the tar as well

Thanks mate. Watching the passes you can see we can launch cleaner with a good track and some more tweaks.

Hopefully more to come.

I'd say it was a pretty rare day yesterday! I am certainly gunna enjoy it while it lasts!

the 60' is where it's at. what's it 60'in? 4-link rear end will make for adjusting the *** end alot easier. looks like the Plazmaman intercooler has done it's job. how heavy is the car?

Sure is! 60 foots are in the 1.3's at the moment. It was 1.34 on the 8.57 run and pretty similar on the 8.48 pass. I will post up the timeslip tomorrow when I am at work and can scan them in.

Im not sure on the weight. Will need to get it on the scales.

Yep 28 x 10.5 Mickey T's.

Also some stats from the run:
60 foot was 1.34 and mid track was 132mph. Final trap speed was 165.88 mph. Picked up 33 mph in the second half.

great stuff, there's definitely another 1/10th to be found in the 60'. how much boost are you pushing thru it?

Currently it is tuned on 38 pounds. It seems to be in a happy place with this boost.

Our tweaks from now are mostly going to be focussed on launch and staging the boost during the run to try and get a really nice and consistent flow. Hopefully we can get the mph up a little more as well, so coupled with atleast a 1.2 60" we should be able to net a few more tenths. Time will tell....

that's a smart thing to do. once u got the 60' sorted the rest is easy the 4-link setup really helps with the 60'. mid 1.2's are very capable on that tyre. what are u using to control boost e-boost2? AMS1000?

I have both fitted as we started with the e-Boost2, but have moved to the AMS1000. Its a very cool bit of gear. We are just learning all about it just how much it can do.

the AMS1000 is a great piece of gear, the majority of the faster turbo guys use it.
