Default penrite 30 oil convert

Anyone use penrite oil ,im quite amazed how well it works after i been using valvoline and castrol for years and have never tried it before and can say one thing im a penrite convert now lol. With the other normal oils ive been using the oil pressure would drop after a bit of a thrash or a long drive when the oil gets hot and the car comes to a idle when i stop ,but with penrite 30 is more steady oil pressure and has gone up.I dont know why i havnt tried this penrite before campared to the other crappy oils and additives iv been using before.

I bought HPR15 for my beastermobile and I don't think it really likes it all that much..

I was using Magnatec but found it too thin at the top so have given the penrite a go. I've found that with the HPR15 i get a bit of tappet rattle on cold starts and when she's hot at idle it makes this sorta odd sound like the oils too thick and/or sticky...

next change i'll try HPR10 and see how that fares.

You probably should be using HPR30.

I use Penrite too.

I pretty much only use Penrite, mainly because they are Australian. HPR10 in winter and HPR15 in summer for the EF. 5.0's like a slightly thinner oil than the I6's it seems.

I'm using Penrite 15-60 semi-synth in my VS. Noticed slightly improved idle and slightly smoother revving but slight tappet noise for about 1 second starting up. I think I might change to a 20w-50 considering summers coming.

Yep Use Penrite HPR30. Can't fault it. If you look at the ratings im sure its the highest quality you can get unless you go to synthetic oils.
