Default Thermostat

Hey everyone i was just wondering would a worn thermostat effect the thermo fans if it was nacked or the sensor for the thermo fans, is it under the thermostat housing?
The car is getting very hot and hasnt cracked the head and i want it to stay that way.

But its sad coz it idling ruff to and was missings under 1500rpm.
If its gonna cost heaps i maze well just sell it and get something else.

Craigy, I'll pimp slap the ***** outta you if you say that again :

I'd warm it up then rip the thermostat out and drive straight to a mechanic, but then again, I'm not much of a mechanic

Yeah, you'd have to be an idiot to undo a hot cooling system under pressure.

Oh yeah, I never actually thought of that, lucky my thermostat never broke :

Craigy, it'd probably be best for all concerned parties if you ignore any further recomendations I give you :

lmfao....like the time i found out my car had it abs disconnected (was wondering why the car was locking up in the wet), everything is there exept the abs module/pump thingy! they even pulled the globe out of the dash so the abs light wouldn't come on!

Does the thermostat work fine now?
