Default AUII XR8 Diff Banging

G'Day all and interested,
I've just logged on for the first time looking for anyone who has had any problems with a banging/knocking noise coming from I assume the diff. The problem occurs only after the car has been driven for at least half hour but also mildly earlier. It knocks as you are coming off the clutch into first and occasionally you will hear the knock going into second. The car is an AUII XR8 Ute. Ive heard from a mechanic that it may just be excessive diff backlash but before going in blind. I thought id find out if anyone else has experienced similar probs.
Cheers
Mossy

Sort of similar had ford put some stuff in diff and seemed to quieten it down.

Check your dealers service dept.

Get the diff serviced with the right oil & make sure they put the additive in at the same time. That should solve you problem.
