My hazard lights seem very self aware. Every time I stop the car and turn off the engine the hazard lights flash for about 6 or so flashes then turn off. When coming back to the car and turning the key to start it they flash once and then off again.
Anybody else have this sort of issue with the AU. Mines an au xr6 series 1.

Sounds like an alarm of some sort.... maybe someone has wired the interior key-off courtesy lights to your flashers? *shrug*

That's what it sounds like to me as well ... I am presuming it used to have an alarm in it (and still does ... or part thereof) still in the car.

yeah mine does it to everytime i unlock it chirps 3 times looked in book says it means alarm battery is flat

No alarm that I am aware of though. Hasnt done it from day dot either, only recently really.

Sounds like an upgrade alarm of some sort.Chances are that the siren is off in the engine bay.
