I've bought a Focus 2011 LW that seems to have had a dash cam fitted previously - am trying to figure out the wiring changes that have been made so I can fit a new dashcam using these wires.
Trying to open the panel under the steering wheel. I can pull it down but it still seems to be attached at the side near the door. Any clues? David |

My way to cheat on these questions is to look for someone selling the same (used) part on Fleabay. Usually the back or side photographs will reveal where the hidden clips are - or what direction to pull/prise.

The fusebox is on the passenger side underneath a piece of fabric held together by two clips.
I hardwired my dashcam there. This video is about cabin filter but is good enough to show you where the fusebox is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfNb...Aw0z6j&index=5 In this video 3:49 you can see the two clips, at 5:09 that's the fusebox at the back.

For future reference I worked it out on the weekend. You need to remove the panel on the side near the door. Under this is a Torx screw you have to undo.
